Rules & Regulations - Club Facilities
1. CLUB FACILITIES & MEMBERSHIP ID. CARDS
Ø All Club facilities are reserved for compliant members only.
Ø To be compliant, members must have cleared all their arrears and must be up to date in their payment for the year in course.
Ø Members can bring only two guests at any one time. A same guest can be invited for a maximum of 2 times only, irrespective of which member has invited him/her. He/She should then either apply for membership or stop using the club facilities.
Ø A guest who claims to have been invited by a member should be accompanied by such member, otherwise access may be denied to him.
Ø Each member will be provided with a membership card bearing his/her photo free of charge. The membership card will be renewed each year.
Ø Lost membership card will be replaced against payment.
Ø Membership card will have to be presented whenever requested by the club manager.
Ø Failing to present a membership card can lead to refusal of access to premises of the club (at the manager’s discretion).
2. SPORTS FACILITIES
2.1 RESERVATIONS
Ø Reservations should be made for the following: Tennis, Badminton, and Football.
Ø Reservations can be made by phone or e-mail. All reservations will be for 1 hour sessions only unless prior arrangements have been made with the club manager. Such reservation may be extended after arrangement with the Manager in case there is no other reservation after their reserved slots.
Ø Reservations will be for a maximum period of four weeks, but can subsequently be renewed, depending on the demand for playing time.
Ø Reservations will have to be confirmed by the club manager to be effective.
Ø Hua Lien reserves the right to refuse any reservations and will also not be responsible for any loss of playing time due to bad weather conditions.
Ø Fees will still be payable should, for example, rain stop play after the first 30 minutes of the reserved time.
Ø Please note that HUA LIEN will not be responsible for any loss of playing time due to players being late for their reserved times. Reserved times must be strictly followed.
Ø Members and coaches should ensure that their membership payments are up-to-date in order for their reservations to be considered.
Ø No reservation will be considered until all arrears have been settled.
2.2 CHARGES
Ø Charges will be made to cover mainly maintenance costs and lighting at night.
Please refer to annexe for charges rate.
Ø Fees will be payable to HUA LIEN in advance or at the start of the session at latest.
Ø Fees paid are non-refundable.
2.3 CANCELLATION FEE
Ø Members who have made a reservation and who do not turn up for their reserved slot will still be charged the fees above, unless prior notice (at least 48 hrs) has been given to the Club Administration, whereby a cancellation fee will be payable.
Ø Repeated cancellations will result in the freed slots being allocated to other interested parties.
2.4 COACHING by paid instructors/coaches
Ø No coaching by paid instructors will be allowed on the club premises without the approval of the club manager and the executive committee, and until details and terms have been agreed between the respective parties.
Ø Coaching fees will be payable at the beginning of each month and not later than the 5th of each month. In default of payment of such fees for 2 consecutive months, the Manager may deny access to the defaulter to attend the course for which he has been inscribed.
Ø Fees for coaching are to be paid to HUA LIEN ONLY. In no case whatsoever coaches are allowed to take any fee directly from pupils. Disciplinary actions will be taken against defaulters, both coaches and pupils/trainees.
Ø Please refer to annexe for coaching fee.
Ø Members are requested to claim the official receipt for any payment made to the club.
Ø Members are also reminded that they are not allowed to bring their own personal coach for training sessions unless (a) details and terms have been agreed between the club manager, the coach, and the pupils/trainees; and (b) the coach is already a member of the club. Special rates may apply for coaching sessions.
Ø Certain hours will be reserved for the coaching school.
3. OTHER ACTIVITY FACILITIES
Ø Include for example Dancing, Mandarin, Yoga, Tai Chi ....
Ø Inscriptions for the above activities must be made at the secretary of HLA.
Ø A fee will be payable at the beginning of each month and not later than the 5th of each month. In default of payment of such fees for 2 consecutive months, the Manager may deny access to the defaulter to attend the course or activity for which he has been inscribed.
Ø Fees are to be paid to HUA LIEN ONLY. In no case whatsoever instructors are allowed to take fees directly from pupils. Disciplinary actions will be taken against defaulters, both coaches and pupils.

Ø Hua Lien reserves the right to refuse any inscription.
